Recently, I have been obsessed with navy blue nail polish. It's not quite as stark as black, and yet not as expected as deep purple. I think it is a great alternative to both. I picked up an N.Y.C. polish in the color "chinatown" the other day at CVS and I am totally loving it. The formula is surprisingly creamy and smooth, and I didn't encounter too much hassle with the brush, although it is a little wide for my taste. The polish dried really fast, "in a New York minute." And I love the subtle shimmer of the deep blue color. I believe I only paid a couple bucks for it. Gotta love that! I am actually so impressed with the formula, that I definitely plan on buying more in the future!

What do you think?

  1. I love it! I just got OPI's Russian Navy and it's very similar. At first blue nail polish reminded me of 1997, but now I LOVE it!

  2. Love that color! I picked it up in the store, but for some reason, I didn't expect it to look that good on my nails. I'm going back for it now!

  4. Nice. Let us know how the NYC holds up. Cheaper alternatives are always good.

  5. I really like the New York Minute line from NYC...for 2 dollars, the polish holds up just as well as OPI for me. I think I have 6 or 7 of them now!
