Wearing: Express blouse, Target shorts and crystal necklace, Anthropologie turquoise necklaceHello Fab clutch, J.Crew & Stella & Dot bracelets, Zara pumps

Happy Thursday everyone! I keep thinking it's earlier in the week, probably because of the holiday weekend we just had. Another one will soon be here.

Please excuse the frizzy hair. Summer isn't always kind to it ;)

For the past couple of years, I've really enjoyed dressing up denim boyfriend shorts. Once terrified of them, I  began following other bloggers who showed me how to do it without feeling like a...ahem...tart. I definitely feel more comfortable in this style, as opposed to some short daisy dukes! No, I'm just not that brave. A great way to dress these babies up is by adding accessories. I've had this beautiful gold glam clutch for a couple of months now, but it finally made its debut at my bachelorette party last month. Since I love gold and turquoise together for Summertime, it seemed like the perfect date night pairing this time around.

How do you like to style denim shorts?

  1. I think you dress the shorts wonderfully. I'm like you, not to keen on the daisy duke length, especially with denim. I'm just much more comfortable in skirts, even mini skirts are easier than short shorts foe me :)

  4. You look awesome! I also just bought a pair of jean shorts from LOFT...they're a long length and are slightly distressed...very cute. Know I just have to pluck up the courage to wear them outdoors cause I've just been rockin them in the house so far! LOL Have a great day!

    1. I know you can do it! Try wearing them with sandals, wedges, or flats first. It took me awhile to feel comfy wearing them with heels, and even now, I prefer 3 inch heels with them (not too high). You will look great!

  5. Gorgeous necklace! I have been more daring with my shorts...I still feel cutoffs are for tshirts by the lake but trying to break it as well! Still trying to find those lace mint shorts you wore...were they at the outlet?

    1. No Jessica, I purchased the mint shorts online from the LOFT site! I also saw them in-store too, about a month ago when I was last in LOFT. They come in a pretty lilac color as well! I hope you can find them!
