Aside from this gold sequin number, my pleated skirt tops the list of favorite closet pieces. I purchased it last year on mega sale, and I was seriously shocked that it came from Old Navy. I had to have it, despite the fact that it was two sizes too big. It was the perfect shade of hot fuchsia pink. I wore it a few times, but stopped when the elastic around the waist started to twist and bunch up. I couldn't bear to part ways, so it hung sadly in the back of my closet. I made a mental note to have it tailored, but time passed and I just forgot about it altogether. Well I finally had it fixed last week, and it's better than brand new. I'm often lazy about getting clothes tailored, but that's something I desperately need to change. The lady I go to is a miracle worker, so there's really no excuse. It's so worth it!
Oh, and I also finally found my pair of strappy sandals. Nordstrom never fails.

I hope you had a great weekend!

  1. I'm glad you got this skirt tailored coz it looks amazing on you! Such a gorgeous fuchsia shade too....

I'm really lazy with tailoring too. Since I dropped two dress sizes, I have about 8 dresses I need to take for tailoring which I still haven't. I'm getting motivated seeing this post though.
