I decided to try something a little different this weekend. This was one of those rare moments where I didn't have an outfit planned or something in mind. I went into my closet and grabbed my romper from over the Summer. I wanted to test myself and see if I could Winterize it (if that's even a word). Since a little black dress goes with everything and is always appropriate, how about a little black romper? It could work. I threw on my favorite jacket, which became a wrinkled mess after a day out running around. A touch of leopard and my new trusty bag, and I called it good. I think it works! I obviously know this only makes sense if you live in a warmer climate like I do, but it would be good for Summer if you don't. Since I feel that I accomplished my style goal last year (buy less, choose well) I wanted to move on. This year, I still really want to reach for what I have, but come up with new ways to get more use out of them. I've been feeling so uninspired lately that anything fresh is welcomed. Give me ideas if you have any!

What are your style goals this year? Happy 2015!

  1. I am soooo jealous of your gorgeous weather. I look outside right now and see nothing but gross snow. I totally think that it could be annoying to have always perfect weather because it does't force you to be creative with layering for warmth, etc. That being said, you look gorgeous!

  3. I love the way you winterized your romper and yes, I think this totally works! I am carrying over some of my 2014 style goals and working on my 2015 set, and it definitely needs to involved REALLY using what I already own rather than thinking I need something new all the time.

  7. Thank you pretty ladies! I know the weather out here is hard for some to believe! It went from snowing last week to about 70 degrees today! It's insane. I hope you all had a great New Years!

  8. This is so perfect, so sad this romper is sold out and how did I miss it? I adore your flats too. I have this jacket in blue.

    1. I bet they will come out with more rompers in the spring! And I'm envious of your blue jacket. Love it in that color!

  9. I love that romper on you - I remember when you featured it in the summer - it's SO chic! I look forward to this year's style goal - I definitely think it goes hand in hand with last year's one - if you choose well, you often end up with versatile pieces!

    1. Thank you Zeba, I agree that they do go hand in hand, it's tempting to shop and shop but really it gets you nowhere if you don't already have a functional wardrobe
