I wasn't very familiar with the brand Free People. My best friend however lives in it, and because I admire her style, I decided to take a look and see if I could find something suitable for my taste. She loves that bohemian vibe, and it looks perfect on her! It reflects her carefree personality and lifestyle. I'm more into the classics of course, and I'm anything but carefree most days! But I do like to take cues from her. When I saw this sweater online, I ordered it. Reviews warned that it ran extremely large and boy, they were not kidding! This is a size small and it swallows me up! I contemplated returning it or at least exchanging it for an extra small, but for some reason, I quickly warmed up to the slouchy factor and decided that it's perfect with leggings and super skinny denim. I like the contrast and balance. It all makes for a comfortable, casual outfit that still makes me feel sort of glam for a Friday night at the movies. Oh and by the way, have you seen 13 hours? No? Well you should. Excellent movie about the attack on our consulate in Libya.

  1. I have a pair of leggings from Free People that I wear to yoga. They were pricey but the quality is very good. Never tried anything else as you said they have a bohemian vibe which is not me.

I know the post was about the wrap but I love your shoes, so cute! You have a great eye for details

    1. I've found that free people runs really big, so sizing can be tricky! A lot of it is very flowy too, which is sometimes hard when you're shorter!

And thank you regarding my heels! I love them, they are so comfortable ;)

  2. I've found that sometimes I feel like their stuff is made of knots and shit and then they're like, SURPRISE IT'S A DRESS! But lately they have been killing it!

    1. LOL you always get me laughing and smiling from ear to ear! I do think their stuff is much more wearable this season! It's hit or miss with any brand though. I try not to discriminate

  4. I always love everything Free People, but it doesn't always translate on me. I think this drapey top looks great on you.

  6. Thank you ladies! I really love this entire outfit because it's so comfortable! I'm all about comfort when it comes down to it, but I also don't want to look like a slob! Little details are important and keep looks like this one more polished.

  7. I always love seeing what Katie picks up from Free People! And I love how you styled this sweater - I think you balanced out the silhouette perfectly. It's fun to branch out a little bit every now and then. Maybe not too far, LOL! But a few pieces are fun to mix in with the classics. :)
