I haven't been posting as frequently because honestly? I've been terribly uninspired lately. January is always like this for me. I get excited about new goals for the new year, but I find that when it comes to getting dressed after the glitz and glamour of the holidays, I just want to be as comfortable as possible. Do you ladies feel this way? It's not that I don't love my clothes or have anything to wear. I just don't feel as compelled to get dressed up, so my outfits end up feeling a little too casual or boring to devote to blogging. In an effort to combat this, I go back to the basics. An easy formula: Classic colors + classic pieces = instant outfit. Camel and red is one of my favorites because the combination looks so polished. And nothing is cozier than a soft cable knit sweater. This is my second one and if I could wear them every single day, I would!

I'm also experiencing writer's block so bear with me. It happens to everyone, but mine irritates me to the point where I don't want to get near my computer. I'm hoping this will change quickly as I have a real talk post coming next...

  2. This color combo is chic and gorgeous! I cannot seem to find the right shade of camel to flatter me but you're really making me wish I could. Sooo many of my outfits have been leggings this month, so you are not alone in wanting coziness this January. The weather is a contributing factor too!

  3. Camel and red make such a beautiful color combo! I tend to pair red with black, but camel is a softer color which is nice. Love those heels!

    1. Thank you! I believe the pumps are still available. They are so comfortable and look great with jeans that I'm contemplating getting them in black.

I'm sorry you are experiencing the same thing I have been. I find that when I'm at a roadblock in blogging, I take a little break. Nothing too long, just a few days. In that time, I reassess my blog and try to come up with ideas that I think others might find interesting. Or I keep it simple and just go back to basics as I did above with my outfit. I started with Rewardstyle and like to know it when it was in its infancy, so I think I got lucky to be honest. There weren't as many blogs around. But keep at it! Keep pushing through and keep applying. I have no doubt you'll get it! Just stay true to yourself and blog about what you love and everything else will work out.

  5. I think this is a hard time of year to dress because of the weather myself. I totally think casual looks are blog worthy though. Often it seems what people identify with the most. I love this camel and red color combo. Those heels are so pretty!

  7. Winter months are always a challenge. I put on a pair of heels today for the first time since the holidays, but otherwise i'm keeping it simple with the same jeans and sweater formula.

  8. I know what you mean January is tough for me too. But mostly because it's so damn cold, lol! I try to wear very colourful clothing to combat the blah feeling but generally I do find myself to be less creative.
I do like your outfit though, there are still some great colour combos for me to take note of :)
