Shout-out to my girl Alix for my hair. Soft doesn't even come close to describing it. It just needs to grow!

I know when we all think of an LBD, little black dress comes to mind. But what about a little blue dress? Or a little white dress? Or just a little dress? No matter what, a dress of any sort is a closet essential, and every woman needs at least one. They can be dressed up with heels, a clutch, and pretty jewelry. They can be worn to work with flats and a cardigan or jacket (as long as the length is appropriate which typically means to your knees). And, they can be dressed down with sandals and a tote for weekends. They are just as versatile and as comfortable as wearing pants, and you don't have to worry about which top to wear. I love that it's a complete outfit. Talk about fool-proof! There are so many dresses for Spring and Summer on my wishlist, but I'll save that for another day.

On a completely unrelated note, for the past couple of months I have been wondering if you still enjoy the direction of my blog. I like adding in more personal posts, but I still love showcasing my style the most. I hope my outfits are helpful to you in some way and give you ideas although I realize they aren't exactly groundbreaking! I also like doing beauty posts, and am trying to create more content that is related to that but I need some honest feedback. I wrote a survey and I would really appreciate it if you would take the time to fill it out. Or, you can let me know if there's anything you'd like to see more or less of on here in the comments section. Thank you SO much!

  1. Your hair really does look SO shiny and beautiful!! And this whole outfit is just so flattering and pretty on you! Everything from the color palette to the style of dress. I don't think content has to be groundbreaking to be enjoyable! My tastes are pretty simple. If I connect with a blogger then I just like seeing what she's wearing/reading/doing/watching/thinking about etc. lately. It's more about connecting with the individual than being amazed by creativity for me. :) And I think you're doing a great job so just keep it up!

  2. Your hair looks gorgeous! I wish my hair was that shiny! I agree with you on dresses too. It doesn't have to be a LBD as long as you have a great dress you can wear for multiple occasions. We all have different tastes so maybe black isn't your taste or flattering on you and other colors are a good option!

Loving your dress too. The deeper blues and reds always look great on you. I will check this dress out at Express. Hopefully it is not too short for me.
I love the addition of personal posts to your blog. It's always good to know the person behind the blog. I always comment more when bloggers interact with their readers and ask for feedback. You are always ahead of the curve Noelle :)

  5. I like more personal posts - they add to the charm of the blog. There are a lot of bloggers, so it is nice to follow someone local (I live in San Diego County) and know a bit about.

    Thanks!

  6. You look great in blue, Noelle! Honestly, I don't even have that LBD in my closet. I have some, but there isn't one that is "the" little black dress if that makes any sense lol. What did yshe do to your hair to soften it? I have natural frizzy hair so any products that will tame it, I'd love to know. T

    1. Hi Terri! The salon I go to aside from my sister-in-law is an Aveda salon so my stylist used an Aveda blow dry lotion as well as a setting spray. But you know what really has been working for me? An oil by the brand UNITE. When I do my own hair, I have been using that oil and it makes my hair so incredibly soft!
