As much as I've loved scoping out the Fall trends this year, there is nothing that appeals to me more than classic pieces I can wear over and over again. I don't have a huge closet (nor an endless supply of money) and so I think I tend to gravitate to staples, and then build upon them with fun accessories. When I found this khaki trench at H&M last week, I knew I needed to give it a happy home:

Thank GOODNESS you don't have to look like a model to love clothes ;)

Trench: H&M
Black Leggings: Target
Peep-Toe Pumps: Nordstrom Rack
Camel Bag: Michael Michael Kors (TJ-Maxx)
Messy Ponytail - all mine!

I'm going camping at the beach this weekend, so it's back to shorts and flip-flops until Monday (gotta soak in the sun before it's gone). I'll be back next week!

I've discovered some new things about myself Readers. 1) Half of my closet consists of cardigans. 2) I ♥ leopard way more than I ever thought I could. 3) All but two pairs of my jeans are of the skinny variety. And finally, 4) Banana Republic is the place to go for a great selection of petite clothing.

Petite Skinny Dark Wash Jean  I want more, maybe in black! These are also available in-store, which is where I got mine.
Beige Lacy Tank: H&M
Nude Pumps: Steve Madden
Assorted Gold Baubles

This ring is from Forever 21, purchased recently. I think it's fascinating for some reason:
On my nails: Sephora by OPI in Personal Shopper

Again, I highly highly recommend the petite cardigan and the petite skinny jeans. The sleeves of the cardi are the perfect length for my short arms. I don't have to roll them up at all (something I almost always have to do with regular sized cardigans). I bought a size medium because that was all they had left. It's a tad bit loose, but I kinda dig that because it just feels so darn cozy.

The skinny jeans (not to be confused with the ultimate skinnies) have a lot of stretch to them, which I find flattering. They sort of form to fit your body, and the denim is extremely soft. Come to think of it, they almost remind me of leggings. I think petite girls who also have some curves like myself will be very happy with these, as well as petite girls who aren't curvy at all. They are universal.  The length is perfect for heels, but I also tried them on with my TB flats, and they looked equally good. Keep in mind I am 5'2 and 110 pounds. I bought a size 27P. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

I ordered this NARS eyeshadow duo in Rajasthan when the fall collection debuted a couple of months ago. It was sold out everywhere, including the NARS website so I ordered it from Neiman Marcus even though it was on back order. I had no idea it would take so long to arrive in my hands. The wait was most definitely worth it. The colors are beautiful. The peacock blue shade in particular is rather unique, with flecks of teal, navy, and even gold. This will make for a gorgeous smoky eye, and I forsee it really bringing out the gold tones in my brown eyes. The lighter tawny shade in the duo will make a perfect all-over lid color, a great option for work. The formula and pigmentation is smooth and buttery.

It was difficult capturing the beauty of the blue color with my camera. I moved by the window to see if the sun would help. Not quite, but I think you get the picture.

I highly recommend this duo if you are tired of the usual charcoals for smokey eyes. Also, I will reiterate that this looks amazing on brown eyed girls. Rajasthan was a splurge, but I know it will last me forever.
