Autumn Brights

Last Fall, I was obsessed with wearing vibrant hues. Anything bright and colorful was in my shopping bags and in my closet. This Fall, although I still love wearing color, I've been really gravitating towards dark neutrals and moody shades. I'm loving how easy they are to dress around, and how classic they feel. On this day however, I decided to go back to color and it was a great change. I think as much as we each can get stuck on something, it's always refreshing to switch it up and keep people guessing. And hey, leopard is a neutral that looks amazing anytime!

Bundle Up

This post is going to be short and sweet, due to the fact that it started to drizzle after this picture was taken. I'm surprised we even got one! This cape style jacket is great for bundling up in. You feel like you're cloaked inside of a cuddly blanket. Honestly, during rainy days all I want to do is curl up on the couch with a hot chocolate in hand. Gloomy mornings are the perfect excuse to be lazy. A few hours after wearing this, that's exactly what I did. I traded in these skinny jeans for yoga pants and watched re-runs of the housewives. Riveting, I know. But a total guilty pleasure!

Utility Chic

Wearing: Nordstrom jacket (similar here and here), Loft tee and jeans, Halogen booties, Michael Kors selma satchel, J Crew necklace (similar)

Utility jackets are everywhere this season, and I for one can't get enough of mine. Purchased last Winter, it's a great lightweight jacket that can carry over into all (two) of California's seasons. I decided to pair mine with some slightly distressed jeans and the Halogen booties I got during Nordstrom's anniversary sale. I felt surprisingly polished in this outfit, and I think the shoes and bag elevated the casual jacket to that level.
