This Missoni for Target chevron scarf is my absolute favorite Target purchase of all time. Ever. That's a big statement considering I've found so many amazing pieces there over the years. I walk in for one thing and undoubtedly leave with three or four other items that I wasn't planning on buying. I'm sure you guys can relate to this. Although the weather here has been warm and sunny, I'm still dressing like it's Fall. Why not? I can pretend, right?!

I was feeling a bit bi-polar clothing wise on Sunday. What to wear, what to wear...It was cloudy and a bit windy, but for some reason I had dresses on the brain so I decided to wear a strapless one. With a sweater! I've seen lots of beautiful inspiration photos on pinterest. I never would have thought to layer this way. Blazers and open cardigans are typically a go-to over a dress, but I've never considered a regular pullover. Although I'm not sure this totally worked on me (I'm thinking a cropped sweater would have been more flattering on my shape), I did like the overall casual vibe. Especially paired with flats, it's a great alternative to just plain old jeans when you're winding down from the weekend.

New Cut & Cobalt

Wearing: Express dress, French Connection bag, Halogen booties, Saint Laurent ring, Fossil watch (similar)

First things first - I cut my hair! Obviously :) I took the plunge on Saturday morning, and waltzed confidently into my sister-in-law's salon. She proceeded to immediately hand me a large wine glass full of orange juice and champagne and then got straight to work! I was able to show her pictures from this post and she used them to give me the cut I wanted. I'm still shocked every time I glance at myself in the mirror. I walked by a building yesterday and didn't recognize my reflection in the window! I haven't had my hair this short since high school. I love it though, I really do. It feels so airy and free, with lots of movement and body. I'm sure it'll take some getting used to, especially with styling it but I'm so proud of myself for making such a drastic beauty change. I'm not usually the type to change much of anything, so this is a huge step in the right direction. Maybe it'll inspire more positive changes.

After my cut, I came home and changed into this little cobalt number for pictures. This is one dress that makes me feel instantly polished, and it was the perfect compliment to my new 'do.
