All pictures aside from the last were taken by me and my iphone 4s.
This week has crawled by. It always feels so tedious to come back from a vacation, even if it was a short trip. Back to reality. I had the best time though! Vegas is only a few hours from where I live, so it turns into a roadtrip filled with music, laughter, and a fast food stop at In-N-Out. Then, once the casinos can be seen as if a mirage in the middle of the desert, the excitement really sets in. This is how it goes for us every single time.
Here are some musings on my Vegas vacay:
Stack at the mirage hotel has the sexiest, moody lighting ever. So much in fact that you have to whip out your cell phone to read the menu. Alas, it's all very sexy.
I want to go to Paris, France not Paris in Vegas. Although the view of the city is quite breathtaking from the "Eiffel tower", you leave feeling a little cheap. I want to experience the real thing.
Vdara hotel in City Center is the only place Nate and I will ever stay. It's true. I've been to every hotel and casino in Vegas and although all are unique and most (not all) are beautiful, Vdara is such a rare gem. It's non - smoking, non-casino precedent sets it apart. I remember coming back to it on Friday night after a stroll down the strip and just feeling so at home. No crowds, no loud clinking of slot machines, no craziness. Pure bliss.
TopShop in the Fashion Show mall is a must-do. Actually, shopping in Vegas is a must-do. You like fashion? You like Vegas.
Nate and I, at the ripe old age of thirty-something, can't hang like we used to. We can enjoy some drinks, yes. But the whole club/party scene wasn't even on our radar this time.
