By the time you guys read this, I'll be on an airplane. Undoubtedly I'll be enjoying some fashion magazines, a cocktail, and the scenery down below (lots of ocean). I'll be on my way to a relaxing honeymoon with my honey. I'll be a Mrs.!

I can't wait to see pictures from our wedding and of course to share them with you. In the meantime, I can finally share a few details I wanted to keep secret. Some of my friends and family read this blog and I was afraid that Husband would see and the surprises would be spoiled.

I relied on some pretty fabulous Etsy shops to plan my wedding. Thank God for that website! And Pinterest too! It was incredibly helpful to have these resources to guide me through the tedious process (I did not have a wedding planner).

My garter belt was seriously my favorite part of my wedding attire. Mamie + James created the most glamorous garter! I was able to pick my own fabric, color, and brooch. I wanted something ultra feminine, and this was what the shop owner Loren created. Isn't it gorgeous?! It looks so vintage, almost like something I imagine Daisy from The Great Gatsby would have worn. The top garter belt is meant to keep and cherish, and I plan on displaying it using a shadow box in my closet. The garter without the brooch is the one that Nate tossed. That whole thing was embarrassing by the way!
Thank you to Loren for such a beautiful keepsake :)

This just caught my eye one evening while browsing "beach weddings" on Etsy. I just thought it was really cute. We displayed them on a table with our escort cards.

Speaking of escort cards, we used natural starfish and printed tags with ivory ribbon to seat guests.

Assorted shells from Gallery360 were used as table number holders. We also chose to name our tables after tropical locales.

I hope you enjoyed this, and I will definitely share more once I get back from Hawaii. Happy Monday!

Wearing: Jacket - Target, Jeans - Loft, Tee - Loft, Heels - Zara (old), Bag - Kate Spade, Necklace - J.Crew, Ring - Ysl

I was delighted Wednesday evening when I stepped outside my front door and realized there was a slight chill in the air. We were heading to greet visiting family that flew in from Ohio for our wedding, and a light cover-up was definitely needed. I had recently purchased this jacket after seeing it on Tara, and it was delivered just in time. I had no idea that the brand Mossimo makes petite sizing. This olive moto jacket is perfect for Fall, and no alterations are required. Love that.
You know what else I love? The fact that I'm getting married in 24 hours!

As I read some of my favorite blogs from the east coast and up north, I continue to cross my fingers for cooler temperatures. I can't help it, I'm so envious of those of you who are already enjoying boots, pants, and layers. I'm still living in sandals and airy anything that will keep me from sweating to death. I try to avoid being outdoors for more then necessary, and our air conditioning is still puttering along. I know I shouldn't complain. I'm in many ways very lucky to enjoy a longer Summer than most do. And, I am very excited about Maui next week. I like the Hawaiian heat much better than California heat. I'm fickle.

Although I haven't enjoyed Autumn just yet, I am slowly gathering just a few new pieces to add to my closet. No major purchases just yet, but definitely looking forward to wearing it all. Here is what I've added so far:

Marc Jacobs nail polish (Baby Jane), J Crew necklace, Essie polish in Smokin' Hot

Not a bad start right? I still have a few more things on my wishlist, so check back soon for that!

What have you purchased so far this season?

Wearing: Dress - Jenny Yoo, Pumps - Nine West, Earrings - Sonya Renee, Necklace - Etsy, Ring - Henri Bendel
Flowers - c/o Nate my fiance

Last Thursday was my 29th birthday. It was also our wedding rehearsal. How's that for a memorable September 12th! It was honestly one of the best birthdays I've ever spent. Surrounded by my closest friends and family, the beach, and Mexican food for dinner... what can be better than that?! I decided to wear the bridesmaid dress I wore for my best friend's wedding. The peachy blush color also happens to be one of our wedding accents, so it was perfect for the occasion. I think bridesmaid dresses have come a long way, so I didn't think twice about wearing it again.

I am getting married in 5 days! Eeek!  Nervous, excited, nervous, excited. Then our honeymoon in Maui!

I have a few posts lined up for the next two weeks, so please stop by and read :) I will do my best to keep up with my favorite blogs while I'm lazily lounging on a Hawaiian beach. I definitely will unplug to enjoy my honeymoon, but I'm sure it will be difficult to stay away completely. Also, expect to see an overload of sunsets, flowers, and the ocean on my Instagram.

Thank you for reading, I love you guys!

Wearing: Charlotte Russe lace top, J Crew skirt (similar from J Crew Factory), J Crew necklace (similar)Sole Society heels, Rebecca Minkoff clutch, Chanel Peridot nails

I realize that this outfit is very Summery, and while it may be time to put away the strappy sandals in some parts of the country, they are still being put to good use over here! I think emerald and turquoise pair so well together, and since I haven't worn this skirt in months, I decided that it would be the perfect time to bring it out of the closet and carry my favorite Rebecca Minkoff clutch with it. Not to mention my stumpy little legs look less stumpy. I'm astonished! Note to self - strappy heels really are your friend.

Who's keeping up with New York Fashion Week? I have a major case of "grabby hands" as Chloe likes to say. The J. Crew presentation has of course been my favorite. Shocking, I know :)

The closing of Summer is always bittersweet. I think most of us are excited about cooler weather, pumpkin spice lattes, and lots of layers. But, I also think that most of us know we will miss the lazy days spent lounging by the pool, fun getaways, and open-toe sandals. There are always positives and negatives right?

I've decided to start doing a lookbook at the ending of each season. A lot of outfits can transition from season to season simply by adding or removing certain key pieces. I plan on remixing my Summer wardrobe into Fall by adding blazers, jackets, and tights. Although it'll be a while before the weather cools down here, you can bet I already have several looks planned once it does!

Here are some outfits I put together this past Summer:

I think it's clear that I lived in Express portofino shirts, girly shorts from Loft, and easy dresses. I wore a lot of things over and over again! Just a few new pieces sprinkled in throughout the season, and not only can you update your look, but you can also make your existing wardrobe go a long way.

What did you live in this Summer?
