The instant I saw this gorgeous pastel-hued bag on Pinterest, I added it to my Spring board. I immediately had a bad case of "grabby hands" as Chloe would say. My heart has been set on a mint or blush toned bag for this season, but with so many beautiful brands and options out there, how does a girl choose? I'm convinced that Kate Spade knows pretty. Her designs are feminine and whimsical. There's a certain charm about them, and it translates perfectly into what I've been wanting for my next bag. With my "buy less, choose well" motto in mind, I didn't feel an ounce of guilt about this one. I do own a cream quilted KS already, and I've loved it to death. The quality is superior, the design right on target between classic and modern. This bag, with all of its Tiffany blue goodness, is no exception. The color is just breathtaking! The removable strap is an added bonus, although I plan on carrying it without. I like to keep my handbags where I can see them, right on the crook of my elbow :) All I need now is a light floral dress, and I'm (fashion) ready for Spring.

Here are all of my looks from this past Winter (or lack thereof). Keep in mind I live in southern California guys. We don't ever really get much of one, and this year was especially dry and warm!
If you have any questions on what I'm wearing, feel free to ask in the comments below :)

Wearing:
Gibson blazer
J. Crew necklace (pretty option)
Fossil watch (another Fossil option)
I wish this post was about my bronzed skin, but sadly, I'm as pale and pasty as I've ever been in my life. I thought going to Maui for our honeymoon in September would mean a tan that lasted into Winter, but all traces of the Hawaiian sun are gone and my tan lines are but a distant memory. Note to self: Get a spray tan! I've never had one, but before we head to Vegas in May, I'm almost certain I'll need to try it. Hotel pool patrons will thank me.
Pasty skin aside, my new bronze pumps are making their debut! I've been on the hunt for metallic heels since Christmas time, but I wasn't sure what brand to go with. I popped into Nordstrom a couple weeks ago and spied these snake print beauties on the sale rack. They were under $50 dollars, and they were the last pair. In my size. Such a great score! They are as comfortable as they are pretty, and I love how much dimension the metallic has. In some lighting they look gunmetal, but in direct light they are definitely a golden bronze. My pointy toe obsession isn't stopping anytime soon. #sorrynotsorry

I spent most of my weekend curled up on our couch, a magazine on my lap and a glass of sparkling wine in my hand. Hubs and I had the fire going, candles lit, and music playing. Honestly? It was sheer perfection. There's something about rain that makes me want to stay in p.j.'s all day and just relax. These occasions are rare around here, so we definitely took advantage and only left the house twice. Once to grab dinner and the other to spend time with my sister-in-law and her family.
How was your weekend?

As I'm writing this, the sun is setting and I'm marveling at just how beautiful it is. Admittedly, Californians haven't endured much of a Winter this year. In fact, our state is actually experiencing a drought. Temps have been in the 70's for the majority of the past few months, and the wineries by our house look more like a barren desert. However, a storm is coming tomorrow, and I for one am excited to get some much needed rain (and some coat time in).
There are two times per year where I get really excited about shopping - Spring and Fall. With Spring officially around the corner, I'm dying to get a few key pieces that will carry me into Summer. Think pastels, brights, and lighter neutrals! Light and bright will be my motto.
I'm crazy for colorful flowers, and I buy fresh blooms about twice per month for our condo.
Denim jackets are on my list, as I've been wanting one to wear over little dresses for ages now!
I believe I first blogged about these back at the beginning of Fall, and I'm finally pulling the trigger. Soon.
Floral is always major. I think a blazer or denim jacket would be the perfect topper over this dress.

I pinned this Kate Spade not only because it's gorgeous, but also to remind myself that my next bag will be in a pastel! Minty blue, powder blue, and blush are my favorites.
I'm all about orange lips. Yes it looks scary, but there's always a way to sheer a bold lip color out so that it looks more natural.
These are mostly all of my picks, but I'm sure more will come :)
