Just some inspirational wedding pictures I have saved on my computer right now. Notice a theme? Lots of ivory, flowers, lights, lanterns, and of course, the beach <3
We want a simple yet elegant touch, but with a modest budget in mind. Very romantic as well!

We set the date, and we found our location. Finally! Now the real planning can begin. I'm not going to document too much of it on here because: I don't want to bore anyone, I'd like to keep some details private, and I don't want this to turn into a wedding blog. But I'll keep you updated with anything I think you might like to see! Sound good?

Happy Friday!

Dress & Necklace - H&M (old, similar necklace here), Flats - Shoemint, Pouch used as clutch - Rebecca Minkoff (Similar and so versatile!),

Makeup used: Lipsticks in See Sheer (my all-time favorite) by MAC and Korres in Coral. I just layered them together. Eyeshadows by UD in Verve and Stray Dog. UD liner in Stray Dog as well. The rest of my face was kept simple. I just used MUFE Mat Velvet + foundation, Chanel Tan de Solei cream bronzer, Dior Amber Diamond highlighter, and Benefit They're Real mascara. Set it all with MUFE HD powder and UD setting spray.

This wasn't originally the dress I was planning to wear to a casual, outdoor wedding. I'm not sure why I changed my mind, but something told me it was time to break out the snakeprint! I mulled it over and made certain it would be appropriate for this particular wedding, and it luckily was. The wedding itself was breathtaking. It was humid and sticky all of last week, but finally on Saturday things turned around and it was breezy and dry. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it was the most beautiful wedding I've ever attended. I got so many wonderful ideas! It was difficult to stay in the moment during much of the ceremony, as I kept thinking about what my own wedding will be like next year.

For months, I've been on the serious hunt for an article of clothing with a peplum shape. I at first fantasized about a dress, then moved on to a skirt. I saw them on so many bloggers, and envied the grace and elegance that little flounce added. I never found one. A few days ago, I was out running around for work and decided to pop into Anthropologie. I have stayed away for quite some time, mainly due to inconvience because my Anthro is about 45 minutes from my town. I spotted these beauties right away:

Completely overjoyed with these crystal drops, I carelessly meandered about the place. The smell of the voluspa candles always sucks me in, and I never want to leave! I wasn't planning on buying anything else, until I saw this peplum top hanging in the back of the store. This is too pretty to keep hidden! I love the thick fabric, as it holds shape extremely well. I love that it slips on and doesn't have any stuffy zippers. I wore it sort of dressed down to scout out a wedding venue on the beach (appropriate, no?)  I'm just as excited to wear it with lady-like heels. For petites: definitely size down! I am wearing an XS, and the straps are a bit long. It doesn't bother me, but I might eventually get them slightly altered. However, aside from this detail, it is by far one of my best purchases this year.

Peplum top - Anthropologie, Skirt - J. Crew Factory Outlet, Sandals - Steve Madden (similar), Bag - MNG Mango via JC Penney (old), Necklaces - Lisa Taubes via CurrentCustom and Stella & Dot, Bracelet - J.Crew, Nails - Essie Cascade Cool (thanks for the rec Andi!) Lips - Revlon Balm Stain in Cherish

Happy Sunday!

I've been cheating on my Prada Candy, Viktor & Rolf La Vie En Rose, and Philosophy Summer Grace. The reason? Jimmy Choo decided to make a fragrance, and it is just so good. Not one to jump the gun, I was elated when I saw the rollerball version while cashing out at Sephora. I had actually already paid for my MUFE foundation, and barely spotted it out of the corner of my eye. A few months ago when I bought Prada's Candy, the SA gave me samples of tons of perfumes. This was included, and I have used my sample sparingly ever since in an effort to preserve it.

Sultry, sexy, glamourous, feminine.  Notes of patchouli, tiger orchid, green, toffee. I can't afford a pair of Jimmy Choos, but I can afford this! When did I become such a frgrance fiend? I'm not sure, but I'm happy I did.

Have you tried this yet?
