You know that old adage, "April showers bring May flowers?" Well I think it's true! It was gloomy and raining for a lot of the weekend, but everywhere I went, I noticed gardens blooming with beautiful flowers. I thought my favorite trench coat was finished for the season, but I happily pulled it out from the back of my closet to top off this darling fit and flare dress. A little print mixing was the perfect way to enjoy what very well may be the last rainfall of the season.

Purchasing a chambray shirt was the best possible wardrobe addition I could have made. It's so gratifying to have basics that you can reach for when you have a "I don't know what to wear" moment. I've been having those a lot lately! It's warming up here, but it still gets very chilly at night and in the early morning hours so the transitional period is difficult for me. Another smart buy? Definitely this beautifully made lace skirt. I can pair it with just about anything. I decided to wear both of my classics together for ladylike polish.
