Because I've been feeling so uninspired with my clothing this season, I got to thinking about how fortunate I am that I've finally curated a few pieces in my wardrobe that I absolutely love! As a girl who has always been interested in fashion, I've had my mishaps over the years. I've worn some God awful looks, and I've spent money on things that didn't last longer than a few washes. Now that I'm more focused on my own personal style rather than trends, I feel like I don't need to buy as much when I venture out to shop. Don't get me wrong, I blog about clothing so therefore I am in constant fear of temptation. Not to mention I'm also an avid blog reader, so whenever I see you girls looking fabulous in something, I immediately want to run out the door to buy it. I just can't afford to do that anymore, so instead I've decided to focus on wearing the things I already own and love. These pieces work for me, and they never let me down. Like a loyal best friend, I can count on them to make me feel happy and confident.

Some days, you just don't want to fuss over an outfit. You still want to look put-together, but you don't want to put the effort in. Hey, we've all been there right? As much as I love styling my clothes and dressing myself using pretty accessories, I do have "off duty" days where a sweater and comfortable jeans is all I need to run out the door. I'm so happy I found this pullover at Macy's last week. It's soft as can be, and the faux lace detail around the neckline adds that feminine touch I gravitate towards. After SOMEONE I know accidentally stuck a similar pullover in the dryer a few months ago, I had been wanting to replace it. That one was torn to shreds, so I tossed it. I love him to death, but he will never touch my laundry again.

Speaking of no fuss style, although I still love my short hair, I think it's time to begin the grow-out process again. I don't want it as long as it used to be before the big chop of 2014, but I would love a longer bob. Something like this:

I'm keeping it short today ladies because I'm not feeling well this week. I've been battling allergies for months, but now it's clear that this is a cold. I'm not complaining too much because it's actually been nice to slow down and get some R & R. Hopefully I'll be back to myself by the time the weekend rolls around so I can get out of my yoga pants and work out tanks that have been pulling double duty as couch potato gear. Coincidentally, I started feeling a little off the day after these pictures were taken. I thought I'd had a little too much wine Saturday night, but not so. I haven't quite looked the same since either. Aside from my wine-colored finger nail polish that's staying strong, I've been a mess. If it's one thing to take away from this outfit, it's the nails! Essie "Recessionista" is a must-have. Go do yourself a favor and slap it on immediately. You can thank me later :)
