No matter because I saw one of my good friends marry her long-time love last night under the oak trees at her family's ranch in the mountains. The night was a bit chilly but I had the worst case of nerves for her so I couldn't feel how frozen my hands were until the reception that followed. It was truly a gorgeous wedding and it fit the bride and groom's personalities to a T. It was small and intimate, with red roses and candles lit everywhere. The boyfriend and I had a great time and we couldn't be any happier for our friends.
My dress was black and lace (of course). I received lots of compliments on it and aside from the fact that I forgot to bring a sweater to the reception (it really was cold), I had a fun time wearing it.
What I Wore:
Black lace strapless dress: Express
Black round-toe pumps: Jessica Simpson
Earrings: Forever 21
Rings: Tiffany&Co and H&M
I love the way my hair was curled. I didn't do it myself but I am finally convinced I need to practice and practice until I can. It's not rocket science!
Now onto some pictures from the wedding!
The glowing bride and her dad ;)
The newlywed happy couple. The smile on their faces says it all!
My friend Anne and I at the reception. We wore similar dresses! Kind of a no-no
The love of MY life
I just love...love.
♥ Noelle

you look stunning!
ReplyDeleteAw the bride looks gorgeous! And so do you! I love your dress its really pretty and your hair looks really pretty. I've always had a hard time getting my hair to look like that as well but practice makes perfect ^_^!
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous dress!
ReplyDeleteI've been eyeing that dress at Express online. If you don't mind sharing, what size did you get? I'm between a 4 and a 6 there and their sizing can be inconsistent at times for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
What an adorable dress! And the bride is gorgeous (=
ReplyDeleteJulie: I hope this helps! I am 5'2 and about 110 lbs. I have a 34 A top (little girls) and am definitely bigger on the bottom. I typically wear a size XS in Express dresses. This dress is a size 2. I tried the 4 on first and it was just too big in the bust area. If you have a smaller bust/top half, I would get the 4. If you have a larger chest, I would go for the 6. The bottom of the dress is pretty roomy so I would worry about fitting the top half. I really hope this helped! It's so hard ordering online! If possible, go see if you can find it in-store ;)
ReplyDeleteGaby: She looked stunning last night! She couldn't take the wide grin off her face and that's what truly made her so beautiful =)
Thanks Noelle! I am small up top so a 4 might be the better option. But I'll try to hit the store soon.
ReplyDeleteU look so stunning...esp loving the dress & hair!

What a gorgeous dress, you look fab! I like your hair, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone!
ReplyDeleteAndi: No, I wasn't wearing falsies. I thought about it but ultimately I'm not really a fan of them. I just used two coats of mascara - one of CG lashblast and one of the BE Buxom mascara. I also lined my upper lash line with the Lancome Artliner I bought from the Sephora F&F sale. Mini reviews/thoughts on those products coming later this week! Thank you for the sweet compliment though Andi!
Your dress is adorable, love it! And aren't weddings just so much fun? I want to have another one (with the same man lol)
