...Hello September! September is my favorite month of the year. It's my birthday month, so maybe I'm a little biased. With the sweltering heat and the high humidity that has made its way to my neck of the woods, I am more than ready to bid farewell to August.
Not without compiling a favorites list, all beauty products:

~ NYC Blushable Creme Stick in Plaza Pink. How appropriate that I picked this little baby up while browsing Duane Reade in New York City. I have used this quite religiously over Summer, and since I haven't done favorites every month, I thought I needed to include it in this one. It is the perfect answer to lazy Summer days when you don't want to look "done" but also when you want a little flush to your cheeks. I am tempted to buy more!

~ Viktor and Rolf La Vie en Rose. I can check this off my beauty wishlist! When Katie and I went shopping this past Saturday, she convinced me (or I convinced myself) to take the plunge and buy my first designer perfume at Sephora. It was painful spending the 80 dollars, but so worth it. Very similar to the original Flowerbomb, but with some fruity notes. I should mention it is a Sephora exclusive.

~ MAC shadows in Shroom and Kid. Shroom is the best highlight color and Kid reminds me of Soft Brown. Both great for defining the eyes in a very natural way.

~ Benefit Powderflage. Some days, I skip concealer and just apply this baby pink silica powder to my under eye area. It brightens without getting cakey, and it stays put all day.

~ MAC pigment in Naked. Naked is my favorite pigment of all time! If I could only recommend one to buy, Naked would be it. It gives a nice sheen without being too shimmery. I use it as an all over wash of color on the eyes or to highlight my brow bone. One sheer swipe and I'm good to go. I love the brightening effect it gives, while still looking natural. Notice a theme this month?

~ Tresemme Dry Shampoo. I can't rave enough! This stuff works like magic at volumizing. I actually use it every day as a finisher once I've blown out and straightened my hair. It of course works well for its purpose ( waterless shampoo) but I just find it to be so good at adding some va-va-voom to my locks. The wonderful scent lasts all day!

~ Favorite lip combo of August: MAC Shy Girl cremesheen l/s and Revlon Super Lustrous l/g in Peach Petal. The best peachy-pink. What more can I say?

~ Fan brush by ELF cosmetics. I bought this on a whim before work one day, and I'm so happy I did. It applies powder to my cheekbones in one quick sweep, and the effect is so natural. Again, Natural is my August theme!

What are your favorites this month? Let me know in the comments below! Happy Friday ♥

  1. I'm definitely going to try out the dry shampoo. The hair on my forehead gets oily daily, and I'm lazy to wash my hair every day. I'm looking forward to take out my fall clothes and hang them in my closet :).

  8. Wow! We have the same birthday, that's so cool. I won't forget to wish you a happy birthday Sept. 12. Fall is the best time of the year. It's not to cold nor hot. I love wearing scarves knitted scarves, boots and actually enjoying a hot cup of chai tea. I love to go buy pumpkin and spice scented candles. Are you going to get your free birthday gift form sephora. They emailed that I was to come in and pick it up. Hopefully yours is better than mine, they picked some Sephora mascara and eyeliner for me. I don't use Sephora's brand of products. Oh well, It's nice of them to do so. Enough of my rambling, it's very cool we have the same bday. Talk soon, chau for now hun.

  15. Amber: You should! I love the scent of it, even more so than the original.

Vivian: Oooo, I love the name of the NARS lippy, how cute! I'm happy you love the dry shampoo too.

E Manticoff: Chai tea is my favorite! A lot of people don't care for it, but I personally love it. I am so looking forward to breaking out the scarves and little jackets. I just need a pair of booties!
I will be sure to wish you a happy birthday too ♥

Crystal: Let me know how you like it if you buy some!

Veronika: you will looove Shroom! I know you will! It's great because it isn't shimmery or chunky at all, just leaves a slight sheen. It isn't a garish highlighter at all!
Of course I want to shop, but I don't really have any plans...yet!

Andi: Thank you! I'm so glad I finally know how great fan brushes work. I think I only paid 3 dollars for the ELF brush!

Henessy: I am a bit obsessed with the Viktor and Rolf perfumes ;) I have Flowerbomb in a roller ball that I keep in my purse. La Vie En Rose is also lovely.

    Jadepurplebrown: Thank you!

Emily: I highly recommend Shroom Emily! You should look at it the next time you are at MAC ;)
