January is one of the best times to go shopping. With my gift cards in hand, I feel like I can test things out more freely and so I try to either stock up on my must-have products or give something new a shot. Hence, my newest Benefit boxed blush, Bella Bamba. I have been dying to see this in person and I was definitely not dissapointed. It's gorgeous! It is a beautiful watermelon color with fine gold shimmer. The MUA piled it on pretty thick at the counter, which I didn't like because it made me look too flush. However, applied with a lighter hand the way I normally do my blush, the effect is so pretty and glowy.

It looks very similar to Lauren Conrad's. Since I always love her makeup, I'm happy to be able to re-create it.

  2. I have an ulta gift card and have been debating over what to buy with it. I love the way Lauren's blush looks, so this is pretty tempting!

  3. Livia: I actually only own a handful of MAC blushes and none of the ones I have can compare. I don't really think I own anything in my collection that is comparable. I was worried it would be too similar to Benefit's Coralista, but it isn't. Bella Bamba is very pink while many of my other blushes are more peachy or coral. I'm sorry I'm no help! I hope you can see it in person =)

  6. I love this look and LC! Have you tried Bobbi Brown's Illuminating Bronzing Powder in Antigua? It doesn't look like much online, but it's really pretty in person...like the picture of LC.

    Love your blog!

  11. Oh what a pretty blush! Is it similar to NARS' Super Orgasm? I will have to check it out next time I'm at Macys! I've got a GC burning a hole in my wallet! ;)

  12. many faces in pink: I own three - 10(which is the bronzer and highlighter duo), Coralista, and Bella Bamba. I would say Coralista is the must-have! I think it would look pretty on practically every skin tone. It still is my fave!

    Katie: I think so!

Vivian: I've swatched Super Orgasm a couple times and I would say that they aren't close at all. Bella Bamba is more pink and has fine shimmer while the NARS is more peachy and has way more gold glitter. I hope that helps!

  16. The color LC is wearing is most likey Nars "Luster", her makeup artist says this is the color she uses more often on her. I have it and it is gorgeous!
To the person who wanted a mac blush similar to this one, try "springsheen", its such a pretty color anf very similar to what LC is wearing.
