It's been a long time since I posted one of these! Rest assured my cosmetic buying tendencies are still in full bloom, despite my strong desire to keep my collection from bursting at the seams. You all know what I'm working with after showing you my makeup collection. It's managable, right?!

While in Vegas, I had to stop at Inglot. It's a very elusive and hard to find brand. I was mainly interested in their eyeshadows:

I really like their system. You choose the eyeshadows you want from their giant selection of testers. Once you are finished, the MUA grabs you your new eyeshadows and a magnetic case to insert them into. I love the case, but I cannot for the life of me get the shadows out! Does anyone know how?

The first two have shimmer in them, the last three are all matte. Pigmented and smooth, they blow MAC shadows out of the water.
To further prove my love, my friend is a new makeup artist and she is going to get me two more Inglot shadows when she goes to the location at Fashion Island.

I fell hard for Chanel's Fall collection. After buying nail polish in Peridot and Graphite (currently on my fingers and not taking it off), I went back for one of their illusion d ombre eyeshadows.

This one is a khaki green color that leans silver in certain lighting. It is called Epatant.
The texture is almost like a mousse, but it has a lot of spring and bounce to it. It feels wet when first swatched, but then morphs into a metallic powder. Very hard to truly describe! The wear is incredible, even without a primer. No creasing and no fall out. Chanel is always pricey, but I highly recommend these.

Have you tried anything new lately? I think my love for makeup is back in full swing!

  1. This fall I am looking to try out eyeliner for the first time :). Super nervous and excited at the same time. I have oily skin, so to find one that would work for me will require some time and work.

  2. Sydney: I have oily skin too and I love Urban Decay's 24/7 liners. They wear pretty well, but I always top mine off with a bit of eyeshadow in a corresponding shade. This really helps it last! Milani's liquifeye is also a good option.

  4. The inglot shadows look lovely and wearable - and must be pretty amazing if they're more pigmented than MAC! I love eyeshadow palettes, but have come to the realization that I don't really wear much eyeshadow (more of a gel liner and mascara girl), so I'm better off sticking to what I have :-)

  7. Clara: Thank you

Ella: It's good that you recognize that you aren't really an eyeshadow girl. Saves lots of time and money! I personally love shadow and wear something on my lids almost every single day.

Andi: I think you would love this one! I have been wearing it all over my lids and it adds such a pretty sheen. You don't need much else with it!

Natasha: It is very pretty :)

  8. I LOVE that Chanel eyeshadow - it has such a lovely and unique texture and it is soooo stunning on the eye.

I've never heard of Inglot but am quite intrigued...

  9. Michelle: I hadn't heard of Inglot either until I saw youtube videos raving about it. I might be mistaken, but I believe it is a European brand? The range is beautiful and everything is well priced. I know there are a handful throughout the country. If I find out more, I'll let you know!

  10. I love inglot, I got a couple of palettes last year when I was in NYC, I also love their gel liners and lipsticks. Oh and arent Graphite and Peridor gorgeous? I can't even pick one as my fave.

I need to check out the new Chanel e/s', I haven't got a chance to play with them yet. Got all distracted by the nail polishes.

  12. Shadowy Lady: I'm kicking myself for not looking at their gel liners. I've heard they are the best. And yes, the Chanel polishes for Fall are must haves! I cannot get over Graphite in particular. I love!

    Pamela: It is very pretty!
