I saw The Great Gatsby Friday night. I knew I would love it. It's one of my all-time favorite novels. I distinctly remember reading it in high school, and while most of my classmates looked bored to tears during our discussions about the book, I was completely enthralled by the characters. That whole 1920's period just fascinates me. The movie was breathtaking in its beauty. The costumes were gorgeous, and I want to wear every single dress Daisy (played by Carey Mulligan) wore. Leo looked like an old Hollywood star, very handsome. That man gets better with age. I definitely recommend it! I'm not sure the boyfriends or hubands will quite appreciate it, but many of you will.

  7. I love 20's fashion too. I kinda wish sometimes that people got as dressed up now as they did then. You look great, love the look and the fun, flirty but classy skirt.

    1. I agree, I definitely think that dressing down all of the time is unfortunate! I could write a whole post on my thoughts, but I fear offending some people!

  10. Lovely outfit! I love the look of The Great Gatsby - I can't wait to watch it! Have you watched Bright Young Things (based on Evelyn Waugh's Vile Bodies) - it's so funny and less tragic than Gatsby (I've watched BYT but only read Gatsby).
