It's been a long time since I had an actual, healthy haircut. Last year was spent planning and prepping for my wedding so I wanted to get my locks in good shape. I concentrated on washing it less (about every three days) and using good products that promoted softness, shine, and longer length. I trimmed it about half an inch every couple of months to get rid of the dry ends, but I didn't want to do anything drastic. Well the wedding has come and gone, and it's high time I finally get rid of dead weight! I'm hoping for a fresh start this year, and hair is symbolic of change for so many women.

Aren't these ladies gorgeous?! I am still going to keep my dark color, but maybe add highlights once Summer hits. I want a longer bob with some long layers to break things up. I probably won't go above the shoulders, but if I like it enough, I may later. I'm never the type to jump in, I like more of a slow dip :)

Are you doing any beauty changes for the new year?

  1. Great hair inspiration photos! If I could just have their bone structure, too. :) I'm trying to grow out my front layers into a longer look like some of these. I don't think it will look different to anyone else but me, though! Funny how that works. Can't wait to see the results if you do go for a big-ish change!

  3. Like your new blog's look! I'm too scared to cut my hair, but probably just because it's taken me so long to grow it all out :) I may get hi lights in the summer though! Be sure to post pics of your new 'do.

  4. WOW - your blog looks amazing Noelle - love the design & header, great job!

Can't wait to see your hair cut - easing your way in to shorter hair is a great strategy! I love the feeling of cut hair - it feels so light and easy to manage!

I'm not really planning any big beauty changes this year - although I'm amping up my skincare routine (fingers crossed it doesn't backfire and break me out LOL!)

  5. Thanks Ella, I love the new header too. The designer was so fast and helpful, I barely needed to tell her what to do. It's like she was in my head :)
