Wearing: Express skirt (old)

I've been joking with my best friend lately that I like a little "prep in my step". My friend and I have similar taste in fashion, but I'm definitely more into the J.Crew look and she's into looking more glammed up.  I've never thought of the term "preppy" to describe my style. Growing up, I loved extremely girly clothes. You could almost surely find me in pink (in many cases from head to toe) and florals. These days, I'm more into stripes, polka dots, and chambray because I finally found the quintessential chambray button up at Loft. It's made for petites (yay!) and the fabric is soft as can be. I know it's going to get a ton of wear, which means you guys will be seeing it a lot on the blog. For its first appearance, I decided to pair it with a short lace skirt and kitten heels. The heel is so tiny, they feel more like flats. When wearing such a short, tight skirt I like to keep the rest of the outfit more conservative for fear of looking too...well, you know.

How would you describe your style?

  1. Your heels are so adorable! Chambray shirts are a must! I can't wait to see the other ways you style yours!

  2. hi Noelle, your lace skirt is very pretty & your hairstyle looks so flattering.

  3. Loving the blue & black color pairing here, plus the chambray + lace is really nice too. Funny, I don't usually think of your style as preppy but I can see that it has a "little" prep to it here and there. :)

  4. I am very into being preppy! the chambray, the shoes with bows, your gorgeous bag - i'd definitely wear it all!
