Wearing //
Zara pumps (old) but super similar
Fossil gold watch, similar
J.Crew pave bracelet, exact look for less

The whole denim on denim trend has always intimidated me. It has reminded me of my high school years, where it just wasn't "cool" to wear mixed denim. Not that I really cared about being cool since I was quite the expert at owning my wallflower identity. However, a lot has changed since those days and I am now convinced that a simple chambray shirt can look crisp and clean over a pair of dark jeans. Pinterest showed me the way. My one caveat is that although I adore my softened chambray shirt from Loft, it is 100 percent cotton. Good for keeping me nice and cool, but what a serious wrinkled mess it turns into after just a few minutes of wear. I promise you guys that I did iron this shirt before I wore it, and yet a five minute car ride was just enough time to create creases and lines. Oh well, what can you do? Go with it I say.
Oh, and look who came out of hiding? I decided to give my blue Kate Spade bag a rest and bring out my selma satchel for Fall.

    1. I love it Suzanne! I've even gotten the cuff wet and it hasn't shown any signs of wear or tarnish. All of her jewelry is so simple yet beautiful and chic. I had the chance to meet gorjana in person and she is sweet and genuine. I hope you get the necklace as a gift!

  3. I didn't even notice any wrinkles on your shirt. I just see a cool, classic, polished outfit! I hear you on the denim-on-denim fears, but this really works great on you and the contrasting colors make it work so well. Very chic outfit. Great brick wall, too! LOL :)

  6. I love chambray especially when I see you can a few of my other favorite bloggers wearing it but I feel like I just can't pull it off and I it think it just may have something to do with what you just mentioned- flashbacks to high school when a denim shirt would be so uncool and denim on denim? gasp! You pull it all off flawlessly though and you look gorgeous as always!

    1. So I'm not the only one! Haha, I completely understand! I think the key is to make sure one piece is quite a bit darker than the other so the contrast is noticeable. It almost looks like I'm wearing just a light blue shirt with jeans. That's probably the only way I could do it :)
