I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Now that it's nearly May, my calendar is starting to fill up with fun outdoor events. Because of this, I'm really feeling much more inspired in the clothing department. I often struggle with creativity, but the promise of Summer gives me that extra kick I need to assess how I'll be styling pieces, both new and old. One way I get inspired is by the use of color, and this year I am loving yellow! Bright marigold (especially as an accent) paired with white and denim. I don't think there's a happier hue.

I'm sometimes intimidated of vibrant colors, but in small doses it can look so fresh and youthful. Yellow is one of those shades that just makes people smile, so why it's not more popular is beyond me! It looks beautiful on everyone, but if you're a little shy like I am just start with an accessory first. Then, watch your mood instantly lift 😊

  2. This top is soooo cute! I don't think we've seen you wear it before, have we? You styled it perfectly here, and the yellow flats are such a fun accent.

    1. The top is new! Making its debut today but I’ve since worn it twice. It looks great under a grey cardigan too!

    1. Thank you! I think the reason why it's so healthy is because I try not to heat style it too often. When I can, I air-dry it and just use some mousse by John Frieda. I also get blow-outs a couple times per month and regular trims! I can do a separate hair post if you'd like :)

  4. Very pretty summer look! I like the pop of yellow. I've gone through lots of phases with yellow, filling my closet with it, then getting rid of it, now some yellow might work it's way back in again! (in a small dose)

  5. I always get the yellow bug about this time of year. It's so cute for spring/summer. I love how you added just a little accent to keep it lowkey and classic. and I really love your sunnies! <3 Jamie

  6. I love that bag! A lot of the ones I have seen are larger, but this is the perfect size. I don't really own much yellow, but I like how you have done it here. New seasons always inspire me too. Hope you have a great weekend.
