I always struggle with sharing clothing that isn't available any longer, but I'm coming to the realization that a personal style blog should be...about my personal style. The point isn't about buying an exact item I feature, but to hopefully provide ideas more than anything. And can we all agree that everyone should own a flirty little day dress? I think so!

I bought this printed dress from LOFT last year, and I've worn it to a baby shower, bridal shower, and out on the weekends. The flutter sleeves and flounced hem give it extra movement which I love. I normally prefer fit and flare dresses on my body, but once in awhile I like to try something different.  I'm not as comfortable in shorts so dresses are my go-to in Spring and Summer when temps easily hit over 100. I throw on some suede sandals (I have these in nude and black as well), a neutral bag, and simple gold jewelry to look put-together with honestly no effort! The warmer months should be all about ease. What's your favorite Spring outfit?

  1. That's exactly the point of a personal style blog, I no longer care about what's in stock or not. Love that dress.

  2. I totally understand your reservations about in stock vs. not in stock items. But I'm glad you are letting go of that concern to share your style. Besides there are almost always similar items to be found. :) This dress is darling and the perfect pair with your Clare V bag!

    1. I think a lot of us struggle with the content we put out sometimes, but I get so many styling ideas from other bloggers and I hope I provide that too :)

  3. I love seeing bloggers wear older pieces, especially in different ways. To me it doesn't matter if I can get the exact piece so much as if I can get a similar style that I can wear in similar ways. I like seeing the inspiration that I can apply to my clothes instead of just buying new things all the time. Love that pretty dress on you!

    1. I agree, I think it's so helpful to really hone in on your own style and sharing it with others so they can hone in on what they love to wear as well (without breaking the bank!)

  4. Noelle,

I love this Spring look! Especially that straw bag... I've been going back-and-forth about whether I should purchase one. Loved how you styled yours ;)

    1. Thank you Natasha! I'm not one to buy multiple bags each year, so when I see the one I want to add to my closet, I go for it and use it to death! I feel like the cost per wear makes it a justifiable purchase ;)

  5. This is definitely a perfect spring outfit! I love flouncy dresses that aren't fussy and I agree your personal style blog should be inspiration, not just an ad for shopping.

    1. Yes! Too often I feel like I'm watching infomercials on blogs and social media. It's hard to strike a balance at times.

  6. Yep- totally agree. That’s one reason why I like my random roundup posts on Friday because I wear anything and everything- new or old, available or not available. Obviously I do still take proper blog photos too, but only 2 outfits a week where I try and feature at least one item that is still available for purchase. It’s been a good balance for me so I’m not feeling as pressured to show something new for every outfit, 7 days a week!!
And I also agree with you about this dress. It’s gorgeous on you and I can see why it’s been so versatile!

  7. This is such a cute look on you! And I love the idea of sharing your faves instead of what’s in stock or what’s new.

  8. I am with you on the shorts thing. Just not totally comfortable, so I love dresses like this. So cute on you!
