Top Row: Wet N Wild Candy Apple Twist, Wet N Wild Lemon Drops, Victoria's Secret (misspelled in pic) Cocktail, Essie Shop Til I Drop, Essie Van D' Go
Bottom Row: Essie Mint Candy Apple, Essie Pop Art Pink, Essie Splash of Grenadine, OPI Mod About You, Revlon Plum Seduction

These polishes will live on my nails for the next few months. I like doing brights when I'm tan, but nude or light pink also looks great with bronzey skin. I know some of these polishes are limited edition, but they can be re-created using any brand out there.

What are your favorites for Summer? I love nail polish so suggestions are welcomed!

  1. I like the Essie Splash of Grenadine. It's strange, because all I want to do these days is put deep plum purple polishes on my nails--not appropriate for summer. I'm opting for bright pinks instead.

What does mint candy apple look like on? Do you have a picture of it?

  2. I love the Splashes of Grenadine and Mint Candy Apple too. I am wearing Elephantastic Pink by OPI now and it's a fun bright pink too.

  6. I'm so jealous that you tan during the summer -- which isn't unusual or anything; it's just that I'm so pale year-round! I rarely paint my fingers because it distracts me too much, but I like using brights all year on my toes -- corals and pinks are my favorites.

  9. Josie: I tan a golden color because I have a lot of olive undertones in my skin. But I always use sunscreen! We have to embrace our natural skin tones =)

Veronika: I think peach is really flattering, you should! It's not as expected as pink, but still safe.

April: Don't worry, I see the Essie summer shades everywhere! I'm sure you can buy them online too though, which is always nice ;)

  10. Great post!! Mint candy apple is awesome! I'm also loving Essie Mesmerize and a brand called Prevail and the color "coney island sweetheart" I think it's a Duane Reade brand but it's my fav color!

  12. Helena: Thank you, I loved Duane Reade! I could go there every day! And I would...luckily, California doesn't have those around or I'd be in serious trouble ;)

Insatiable: Thank you so much, I always appreciate new readers. Bright yellow is adorable for Summer!
