Confessions of a YouTube Makeup Video Junkie

A few months ago, my best friend and I were getting ready to go out to a club. I was really bored with my usual makeup routine- browns and neutrals, always the same old thing! She proceeded to tell me that she had been watching girls on youtube doing different makeup looks. Curious, I asked her to show me. I was hooked instantly! I had no idea that this whole world of beauty even existed! I have always loved playing around with makeup, but I can honestly say that it has peaked ever since watching my first "guru" as they call the makeup ladies on youtube. There are so many talented young women out there doing beautiful looks for their faithful subscribers. I am sure that many of you out there are familiar with them. Some of my favorites include Laura, or Lollipop26 as she is known on blogger and on youtube. I also love Michele1218 and Sccastaneda. Sonia was the first guru I watched, and I have learned so much from her! I have many beauty gurus that I now follow, and most of them can even be found here on blogspot. I wish I had the confidence (or the camera)to make my own videos, but I am happy that I can at least have my own beauty blog to get in on the action!
