I know there's a tag amongst the YouTube Beauty girls called "YouTube made me do it." Well this reminded me yesterday of my teeny-tiny shopping trip to Rite-Aid, where I proceeded to buy three nail polishes and a facial cleanser because both items have received rave reviews from people here on Blogger. I trust my fellow blog girls immensely, so when I read a great review on a product, especially multiple times from multiple people, I usually want to see for myself what all the fuss is about. Of course, I have to pick and choose because I'm not made of money and I can't buy everything just because I want to. Anyway, I bought three Wet N Wild Wild Shine polishes because of this post by Caitlin. Caitlin is the nail diva and so I always trust her thoughts on different nail polish colors/brands. At 99 cents a pop, I figured I couldn't go wrong.

Candy Apple Twist, Bubble Yum Gum, Lemon Drops. I predict these will find their way to my toes all Summer long!

For the past year or so, I have debated whether or not to buy Cetaphil cleanser. I know, what's to debate right? I'm pretty bad at the whole skincare thing. I think I'm in denial that I'm getting older, and that I need to start taking better care of my skin before it decides to turn against me. I have combo-oily skin, and I am prone to breakouts every so often. Not little bumps, but the horrible giant cystic kind that make people want to put paper bags over their heads and hide away for a week. It's hard to worry about wrinkles when you're still battling teenage angsty pimples! I guess that's why I've been nervous about trying a new cleanser. But everyone, and I mean everyone, tells me that this stuff is great so I'm going to try it. Heck, even the boyfriend uses it and loves it. And he's tricky.

So there ya have it. An unplanned stop at Rite-Aid before work just to pick up some things based on blogger. Are you guilty of doing the same? Have a great rest of your week!

  5. You have the SAME exact skin as I! I hate those pimples!!! Can you wash eye makeup off with cetaphil?

  6. Cetaphil is AMAZING - I have been using it for about a year and my skin is perfect. I use high-end skin creams though (aging, ack ack ack). And yes, you CAN use it on your eye area. This was part of the reason I bought it, I am far too lazy for eye makeup remover at the end of a long day!

  7. The polishes are bight & fun! you can't go wrong for .99! worth a try!

I've heard great things about Cetaphil too, and CeraVe, so I finally bought the CeraVe and LOVE it. Its moisturizer and its keep me moisturized, which is funny because I bought $40 bottles of moisturizer that never did anything! Its light and not greasy, either.

I really want to try the ceraVe or cetaphil cleanser. I use DDF gentle cleanser and I like it a lot, and I use it to remove eye makeup - I hope thats ok! haha.

  8. Ashwini: I will!

Caitlin: Candy Apple Twist really is a true coral. Great find! I love jelly polishes ;)

Deanna: I've never worn yellow polish before! I'm going to test it out next week.

Carla: If you love WnW, try these! They are limited edition I think.

Leah: Yes, I think you can because it is so gentle. Worker girl says you can!

Worker Girl: Yes, that's exactly how I am. I am guilty of sometimes sleeping in my makeup! A huge no-no. I'm so excited to try Cetaphil now!

Steph: Thanks so much for all of your feedback!I have come to find that just because a product is pricey, doesn't mean it actually works! I'll let you know how I like it in a couple of weeks.

  14. Ms. Kimmy: I find myself buying products because of bloggers' recommendations all the time!

Nicole: I think the yellow will be reserved for my toes, but I plan on wearing the coral red and the pink on my fingers. As long as your nails are short, I think any color can be worn ;)

Elevnthofapril: So far, so good! I have used Cetaphil three times now and I must say, I really like the way it makes my skin feel. Thank you for reading!

  15. I must say Cetaphil is great stuff. :) I was nervous about buying it, since my skin breaks out easily, but my dermatologist recommended it and I've been using it for about 3yrs now and LOVE IT!
