So, first things first: What do you think of my new blog design?! I have to say a giant thank you to Jillian from Cornflake Designs. She was extremely friendly, and very easy to work with. I highly recommend her if you are thinking of re-designing your own blog. I couldn't be happier!

Now onto the business of the LBC - little black clutch. You may remember this post when I raved about Spring and Summer's oversized, candy colored clutches to tuck under your arm. I still love them, but because my focus is starting to veer towards Fall, I think I am in need of one in the most basic of colors - black. One that is classic, will go with any outfit, and will transition brilliantly no matter what the event or occasion.

 "dream" option:

Mid Range Option:

Look for less option:

A black clutch is a closet essential, and they are relatively easy to find. Now I just have to find mine :)

  1. Love both of these. An LBC is a definitely wardrobe must!

    Jillian: Thanks again :)

  8. Ooh, we're totally on the same fashion wavelength right now. I picked up DVF's Harper Clutch in black last week with a Neiman's gift card--sometimes a little sleek black clutch is best, hm?

As far as the Mona pumps from J Crew go, it's weird. I'm usually a solid size 7 in J Crew pumps, so I ordered the Mona suede pumps in berry in a size 7 and they're actually a little tight. I'm not sure if it's due to the sizing or the toe area, as I have wide feet up front (bunions, ick) that can sometimes make things tight up that way.

I ordered the "pale peacock" Mona's in a size 7.5, since they were on back-order in the size 7 and I hate waiting (hee hee), and while they are a little loose in back they still stay on my feet nicely when walking- no easy feat (ha!), since I have high arches. When I add a gel insert, they feel perfect.

So I'd say if you aren't going to add any foot support (Dr. Scholls inserts, etc) inside or have narrow feet, do your normal size. If you want to add some extra cushioning so you can wear them all day long, consider doing 1/2 a size up! :)

  9. Thank you so much for getting back to me Chloe, you're the best at that and I really appreciate it! Not all bloggers take the time to respond to a question. I will definitely heed your advice! It's funny, the pumps I want are in the berry as well. They are very fun, and I know that colorful suede shoes are going to be big for Fall!

  10. love the new blog design and in love with the ysl clutch!

  11. Love the Tory Burch clutch! I'm really wanting a Chanel WOC as a classic going out clutch - but I think I want it in beige, not black...most of my evening outfits are in a lighter colour anyway.

  12. Love the new look! And I really like the TB clutch option. I have a sleek little Michael Kors black skinny shoulder bag/clutch and I love it.

  13. Love the YSL! I have the TB version in orange and it's held up beautifully over the years.
