Like most people, it's hard to describe my style in a sentence. I know what I like - feminine silhouettes, neutral shades mixed with pops of color, simple cuts and fabrics, and definitely what I refer to as "classic" leanings. But what does classic really mean? It's difficult to explain but for the purpose of this, I'll try. My interpretation of classic means that I like basic pieces that I can wear in a number of ways. I like to invest in essentials that I know will always be in style, whether it's 2016 or far into the future. Trends are fun to play with, but I prefer to save my money and keep those to a minimum. It really is consistent with my personality as well. I'm a bit (okay a lot) timid in life. I need to be pushed to try new things, and change isn't something I seek out. I'm a creature of habit, I like routine, and I think my personal style reflects that. Hopefully this doesn't make me sound like a wet blanket! I love clothes, but I just know what works for me. When I try to step out of my comfort zone, I always end up coming back to the classics.
And I always end up cheering when it's Friday. I'd say the weekend is classic too. Have a great one!

Such a pretty outfit! Happy Friday!! xx
ReplyDeleteLOL at being a "wet blanket" just because you know what you like! I prefer to think of that as having a refined style. :) I guess there's a certain pressure as bloggers to share stuff that's new/different, but I like that you know your style and do what works for you. It's more enjoyable for me as a reader and easier for me to connect with you/"know" you than if it looked like you were trying to change that just to be trendy or just for the blog. So I vote keep wearing what you love. It's far from wet blanket status.

Thank you Gina! At this point in my blogging, I definitely don't feel as pressured to shop like I used to! There's a style for everyone, and there's room for everyone to showcase theirs. It's the best thing about this community.
DeleteLove this outfit Noelle, I know it's simple and classic shapes and colours but it's one of my faves from you ever :) And your coat is adorable, looks like it would be very soft and comfortable...
ReplyDeleteI love classic styles too, because classy never goes out of style. I lean more classic/bombshell which is where I'm most comfortable
You are always so kind, thank you! I love that you stay true to yourself as well!
DeleteI adore that coat with that dress....I think your style is one of the best of all the bloggers I follow. You really have an eye for feminine pairings but you always keep it very wearable. Some bloggers create chic looks but you can't really see them wearing it for anything but a photoshoot...your outfits are just as chic, but also believable and not fussy. So glad you keep sharing your inspiring outfits <3
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Zeba, you're a true sweetheart :)
DeleteYou look so sharp in this look! Love the textured dress and those ankle boots are so cute!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I love that bag.
ReplyDeleteI love the jacket and navy dress combo! I cannot wait until spring -- dresses would be all that I wear. Xo terri
ReplyDeleteI think that most of us crave these classic pieces - we want a wardrobe that can evolve with the trends, but be timeless at it's core.
